Michelle has 20 years of experience in researching digestive imbalances and autoimmune conditions. Personal triumph over these issues, helps her connect with people who are experiencing similar health challenges.

She has nutritional knowledge in Ayurveda, Chinese medicine, and modern dietary therapies. This complex and extensive training in ancient medicine and modern medical sciences has given Michelle a deep, intimate understanding of the human body, health conditions, and medicinal therapies. She continues to learn and grow as a practitioner to ensure her patients receive the best and most up-to-date treatments and care.
David is a practicing herbalist within the greater Victoria area. He began his holistic health journey graduating the 2-year program at Bauman College in 2015, as a Certified Holistic Nutrition Consultant. Immigrating to Canada, David completed the Diploma of Phytotherapy at Pacific Rim College in Spring of 2019 with:
David is passionate about helping you reach your health goals and offers in-depth herbal consultations. David has a particular interest in working with families with a focus on children. Being a husband and father himself, this is a natural fit.
Each person has a starting point that led them from where they were to where they are currently. David’s path began with helping specific family members through chronic health conditions working for hand and hand with conventional medicine practitioners to increase the family members optimal health. His passion for herbal medicine and holistic care is rooted in returning sovereignty to the hands of his patients. We are designed to heal, and nature invites us to do so; plants help facilitate this.
Johanna Westerneng is a practicing medical herbalist grateful to reside on Lekwungen territory, also known as Victoria, BC. She was first drawn to the Cascade Mountain Range in 2007, from Nehiyaw Askiy territory, in Alberta, and it was on these mountains that Johanna began her personal healing journey.
Her professional history in mental health includes providing patient care, advocacy, and support for those with dementia and Alzheimer’s; she has also worked in addictions with a harm- reduction focus in Victoria for over a decade. In 2012 Johanna registered for the Community Herbalist program at Pacific Rim College, with intentions to work with plant allies in an integrative capacity for family and loved ones. In 2015, Johanna enrolled in the Phytotherapy Diploma program, also through Pacific Rim College. As of 2019, her formal education includes:
• 500+ clinical practice hours
• 480+ hours of biomedical sciences
• 800+ herbal medicine education hours
Johanna believes that providing care is an alchemy between spirit, our physiological and emotional canvas, community, and the external environment. She works from a nonjudgmental, trauma-informed, inclusive, and sex-positive perspective, with particular focus on:
• sexual health
• somatic herbalism
• stress, anxiety, and depression
• the nervous system
• mental health and wellness
In addition to building her practice, Johanna can be found concocting herbal potions through her small business, The Kitchen Witch, holding space with Eros and Herbal Medicine in various ceremonies and workshops, making music, sitting oceanside by a campfire, and enjoying the weird and the wild.
