Cautions / Safety

Do not use if taking Immunosuppressants, Cardiac glycosides, Anticoagulants, Anti-HIV medications, Contraceptive pill. Do not concurrently with amitriptyline, benzodiazapenes, calcium channel antagonists, chemotherapy drugs, digoxin, methadone, nifidepine, omeprazole, phenprocoumon, simvastatin, voriconazoe. Monitor if used concurrently with theophylline, anticonvulsants and SSRis. Not suitable for treatment of severe depression with psychotic symptoms or suicidal risk. May cause photosensitivity – avoiding excessive sun exposure or artificial UVA is advisable for those on high doses. Caution with SSRIs - be aware of the potential for Serotonin Syndrome. Caution with Theophylline (bronchorelaxant) and Phenytoin (anticonvulsant)
